Lou Sokolovskiy, CEO/Founder

Lou is a serial entrepreneur with extensive private equity transaction experience.  He is the founder of multiple entrepreneurial ventures in the technology arena, and has unique expertise in operations management, strategic partnerships and new business development. He is a former consultant who has advised many companies in the healthcare management, finance, and technology industries on improving operations and corporate strategy.  Lou is the founder of professional networking organization Opus Connect, and is an active member in numerous nonprofit organizations [including FIDF, AIPAC and JNF]. He is a member of the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle and is Wexner Heritage Fellow.

Terrence Winters, Director of Special Events

Terrence is the Business Development Manager of Opus Connect. Prior to that, his experience includes sales and account management roles at tech and legal companies in New York City, Washington DC, and Los Angeles. He has a B.S. in International Politics from Georgetown University and is currently pursuing an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he is active in the finance and surfing clubs.

Lena Dobreer, Operations Supervisor

Lena joined Opus Connect as Operations Supervisor in February of 2017. Prior to joining, she spent five years in the entertainment industry at Fox Studios where she was responsible for integrating and innovating traditional product licensing support with eCommerce delivery in the Consumer Products division. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. During her years at LMU, Lena interned with the United Nations in Bonn, Germany for the Conference on the Conservation of Migratory Species as a Public Information Intern. There, she focused on the various migratory species threatened with extinction and assisted in the department's efforts towards raising awareness for the sustainability of their habitats and migration routes. Lena is an avid global traveler and former basketball player. She remains active in her community, is a member of LMUs Alumni Association, and continues to referee and coach young basketball players at Cheviot Hills Park on the weekends.

Jacob Zeffren, Sales Manager

Jacob is the Sales Manager of Opus Connect. Prior to joining Opus, he had experience as an Account Executive for one of the fastest growing equipment finance companies based in Santa Monica. During his time there he played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s top partnership with eBay. Jacob attended the University of Arizona for undergrad where he graduated with a degree in Finance.  

Olivia Derbabian, Administrative Lead/ Researcher

Olivia, a New York native, joins us following her graduation from Michigan State University in 2017.  She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Food Industry Management with an event management focus.  During her time at MSU, Olivia was a part of the Division 1 Women’s Rowing Team as a Coxswain.  Prior to Opus she spent 4 years in-between semesters in the restaurant industry working her way up from being a sever to assisting in event planning.  She also worked at Marcum LLP specifically coordinating on their MicroCap Conference for 5 years as the firm’s Marketing/Event Planning Intern. Olivia was a cheerleader for most of her childhood up through high school and has now “retired” to coaching in New York. 

Alycia Braun, Executive Assistant to CEO/Founder

Alycia is the Executive Assistant to Lou Sokolovskiy, the CEO and Founder of Opus Connect. She brings over eight years of experience supporting Presidents and CEO’s in the contracting, consulting, legal and fashion industries. Originally from Wisconsin, Alycia received a B.A. in Business Administration, and a Pre-Law Certificate from St. Norbert College. During that time, she co-founded e-3 Group LLC, an engineering consultancy firm where she played a vital role in its development and success.
